Role 1 - Wednesday to Saturday (9am-8pm)
Role 2 - Sunday to Wednesday (9am - 8pm)
Competitive salary
Our marina is coming back in-house over the coming months and we are building a new team. The Dock Hands are the key contacts for our customers, the public and the marina operations team. You will support all marina users to consistently act safely and keep the environment clean.
You will:
Deliver excellent customer service to all marina customers
Complete repairs and maintenance activities
Build and maintain positive working relationships
Provide support to the office adminstration team with bookings and reception duties
Ensure marina operations are compliant with legislation, regulations and bylaws
These roles are an interesting mix of of hands on practical work and customer facing work, which will suit someone with prior marina experience. Please check out the competencies below and let us know in your cover letter how we're a great match for each other:
Vessel knowledge: Basic construction, hull configuration, maintenance and operation of sail and power boats
Strong communication skills (ability to quickly build positive working relationships with customers, contractors and internal team members)
Accurate documentation skills; e.g. writing and updating standard operating procedures, completing records and forms correctly
Computer literate (able to use MS Office packages and Marina Management Systems)
Physically able to perform the tasks of the role
Relevant qualifications (e.g. a protrade certificate and forklift licence are desirable)
