Details of the offer

Success is not the work of one, but the work of many.
District Nurse - Community Nursing
Casual On-Going
Community Nursing provides a wide range of specialist nursing care in the community, with the aim being to enable you to stay healthier for longer and closer to home.
The Communities, Women and Children Directorate at Hawke’s Bay District Health Board have vacancies for experienced Registered Nurses to work on a casual basis within the District Nursing team.

The role would appeal to those who enjoy the challenges and variety associated with working autonomously in the community environment, and the flexibility of hours that working casually offers. If you are currently working part time this could compliment your existing hours.

It is essential that you have a current unendorsed drivers licence, a strong customer service focus, and have a broad range of clinical skills including wound management (both acute and chronic), intravenous therapy, urinary in dwelling catheter management, as well as knowledge in the management of long term conditions. Ideally you’ll have experience in a community setting however we will consider all applicants who can demonstrate practise at a proficient level as per the HBDHB Professional Development and Recognition Programme (see the attached Position Profile)
