We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist with dispensary management experience to lead our inpatient dispensary service. You will be responsible for the operations of the hospital inpatient dispensary and management of its staff (approximately 20 Pharmacists and Technicians). In this role you will provide day to day supervision and coordination of medicines supply services and provide direction for the dispensary operations. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and high quality medicines supply services is provided. You will also contribute to the operational roster. You will be a member of the pharmacy leadership team and will be involved in the delivery of the Pharmacy Service plan.
Supplying to over 1000 inpatient beds, our dispensary and medicines supply processes can be busy and complex. We are a progressive service and employ a mix of automated and manual processes. The service is well supported by our friendly technical staff and operational pharmacists as well as pharmacists from the clinical service.
You will need to be highly efficient and organised and have the ability to manage and develop people and systems. You will also have experience in improving processes and working with other managers to support service development and strategy.

Essential
NZ registered pharmacist with valid APC
3-5 years of experience as a pharmacist
Minimum 2 years' experience as a dispensary manager in a community or hospital pharmacy
Experience with the development of staff and systems
