Hauora Tairawhiti delivers and funds a wide range of health and disability services to a close-knit, multi-cultural community of 50,000 people. Nursing is an essential component of that service delivery through our own organisation and across the community. Hauora Tairawhiti has 1000 employees and our mission is to work together to elevate the wellbeing of Tairawhiti. Hauora Tairawhiti is seeking to appoint a Director of Nursing with a passion for developing and supporting a positive and engaged nursing workforce for our high performing organisation which works in a complex changing health environment. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive, is a member of the Leadership Team and will be responsible for leading, planning and developing Nursing services in alignment with the strategic and operational directions of Hauora Tairawhiti. Communication and interpersonal skills are key, as you will be expected to understand the operational needs of Hauora Tairawhiti and partner organisations, and strategically develop nursing services. Our particular goal is the elimination of inequity of health outcomes in our community, with nursing playing a vital part in how this can be accomplished through new systems and ways of working lead through our largest health workforce. Applicants require a Nursing or relevant Health Degree at Masters level as well as significant experience as a leader and manager within a complex organisation.
