Opportunity
The Director of Marketing & Business Development, Medical is responsible for identifying and defining Kohler medical commercial opportunities and business development strategies to execute them. The position is responsible for translating Medical Research & Evidence and Regulatory & Product Compliance inputs in a comprehensive medical product/offering roadmap for Kohler Kitchen & Bath. The role will also work with the K&B Medical Advisory Board to identify potential channel partners and bolt-on acquisitions required to execute the roadmap to deliver K&B medical growth expectations.The position will partner with K&B Medical team to execute the defined roadmap.
Specific Responsibilities
Develop the business strategy for medical product/offerings
Identify internal and external medical commercial opportunities to support organic and acquired growth of business
Responsible for all marketing activities including:Define the route to market and manage product/offering prices, terms of salePlan, forecast, and implement marketing programs and promotions for the channelUnderstand trends, potential demand, and competition; make recommendations to develop and introduce new products that increase salesDrive comprehensive category management strategy across all product categories and channels to increase consumer brand satisfaction and awareness and overall product sell-through performance
Develop partnerships with Medical Research & Evidence and Regulatory & Product Compliance consultants and organizations
Actively participate in seminars, professional organization meetings, trade shows, etc. to keep abreast of new marketing concepts or other developments germane to the function
Skills/Requirements
A BS/BA in business, sales, marketing, or liberalarts is required. An MBA is preferred.
7-10 years of prior Marketing and/or BusinessDevelopment experience (must have) in
Medical device industry (strong preference).
Prior experience working with FDA preferred.
Strong Product Development experience /understanding.
At least 3-year experience with P&L and/or budgetingis required and previous supervisory or coaching experience preferred.
Strategic agility with a strong pragmatic approach(can define a clear vision and is able to clearly articulate immediate goals/actions).
Tolerant of ambiguity and drives to clarity bybringing order and structure to work.
Has ability to communicate clearly at all levels,acumen for marketing and business.
Operates with candor, enthusiasm, commitment anddrive to achieve business results
Mustpossess a keen analytical mind, be strong on planning, detail, and accuracy,and be a demonstrably creative thinker.
Prior experience in a startup environment a plus.
Travel approximately 25-40%
