We are currently partnered with J&R Contracting who is specialist contractor to the, directional drilling, utilities, and drainage industry. J&R has proven success in delivering a wide range of project services, from open cut trench work, to directional drilling and UFB for over 30years', and have an extremely strong team of experienced construction professionals and technicians that ensure all projects are delivered to the highest of quality, on-time and on-budget.
About the Role:
This role would suit people who have had experience in the utilities sector with the ability to operate directional drilling plant such as Vermeer D36x50. Operators with an understanding of thrusting up to 630mm pipe to tight grades and experience protecting existing underground services through either hand digging or hydro excavation will be looked upon favourably. You will join a busy drilling team, working on underground utility projects across Auckland.
Duties:
Operate directional drilling plant
Hydro excavation and hand digging
Plant and machinery maintenance and prestart checks �C compliance
Pre-dig and drill sheets completed accurately
Works autonomously and as part of a team

Skills & Experience:
Over 3 years' experience operating direction drilling
Class 1 license + WTR endorsement, Class 2 preferable
Thrusting and working with PE pipe up to 630mm
Plant and vehicle daily maintenance and checks
