newzealand.com is the primary call to action for our global consumer marketing campaign. It's a webby winning global website and is our biggest touch point with potential and actual visitors to New Zealand. The site receives more than 50 million visits per year and plays a critical role amongst our digital channels in building preference for New Zealand and connecting consumers with travel sellers.
What will you be doing/Nga whainga
We need a proactive and switched on Digital Product Owner who can make a real impact, not only in our Customer Experience (CX) team but in our organisation as a whole.
This role reports to the Digital Technology Manager and will own and manage a portfolio of customer facing digital products and services that deliver outstanding customer experience. Your role will be to translate customer, market and business needs into a digital product strategy that delivers outstanding customer experience.
You will have responsibility for laying out the roadmap and managing development of a portfolio of Tourism New Zealand's websites and applications. You will work closely with multiple vendors and stakeholders to co-ordinate and project manage improvements to user experience and the platform that achieves business objectives. You will be communicating externally to gather insight about your product's customers and bring them along the journey as the product evolves.
What we need from you/ Nga pukenga mo tenei turanga
To be successful you will need at least of 5 years' experience in product ownership and/or business analysis in web technologies. Experience with content managements systems, APIs and databases and dealing with both vendors and directly with software delivery teams is important.
While you will be responsible for defining the product roadmaps, this role also requires someone with outstanding communication and people skills as you work with a wide range of stakeholders and collaborate across regions and business units.
