Ara Institute of Canterbury's Marketing Services has responsibility for marketing, public relations, sponsorship, internal and external communications and profiling Ara to future prospective students, their influencers and surrounding communities. In a constantly changing business environment, the Marketing team is challenged to ensure Ara remains competitive with innovative multi-channel campaigns and effective stakeholder communications and events.
The Role
The Digital Developer will play a key role in supporting the delivery of digital marketing initiatives as part of the annual marketing plan developed by the Marketing Leadership Team. The Digital Developer will be expected to support the development and management of Ara's digital platforms, including MyAra (myday) and websites (ara.ac.nz and Infoweb, the staff intranet) and others as required, as well as provide recommendations to help inform the future digital direction.
As part of this role, the Digital Developer will also recommend, develop and implement integrated digital campaigns required to support/deliver marketing objectives. This will involve working as part of a collaborative marketing team to deliver to the marketing strategy. Building and maintaining relationships is also paramount to this position, which will require providing advice and recommending digital strategies and solutions to internal clients.
