Contract: Permanent, part time (32 hours p/w)

We have an opportunity available for an experienced and enthusiastic dietitian to join our team at Wellington Regional Hospital.
This role will provide you with the unique opportunity to build your skills in the more specialised areas of Oncology, Haematology, ICU and Renal, whilst working alongside experienced clinicians in each of these areas. The role is mainly inpatient focused, however the post holder will also work in the outpatient setting, both on the oncology day ward and the Wellington Dialysis Unit.
You will be part of a supportive team of 14 dietitians within the Wellington team. We offer regular professional development opportunities and regular supervision.
This role is 32 hours per week, worked across five days. Following achievement of competencies, the post holder will also participate in our weekend on call roster.
DUTIES
Assess and manage the nutritional requirements of inpatients across multiple inpatient settings
Manage enteral and parenteral nutrition
Work as part of the wider MDT to support patients with complex medical and nutritional needs
Support the wider dietetic team as clinical demand requires

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
This is a dynamic, fast paced role working in a range of settings so you'll be able to demonstrate great communication skills and the ability to quickly build strong working relationships.
NZ Registered Dietitian with current APC
Dietitian Prescriber
A range of clinical experience across different settings, including recent experience managing patient receiving enteral and parenteral nutrition Ability to manage a complex and diverse clinical caseload
Ability to build rapport and adapt your communication style to suit a wide variety of patients and their whanau
Self-motivated and organised
Excellent time management and prioritisation skills are a must.
