This is a highly successful company with a decent fleet of vehicles which they maintain in a fully equipped workshop and they need another mechanically skilled technician to join the team.
This is such a good opportunity I wish I was a mechanic! Living in a far cheaper place to rent or buy a house but less than an hour's drive from Auckland you'll join a company with a generous and level culture that's financially secure.
The own fleet of 30 or so vehicles includes very new machines - DAF, Kenworth as well as some older members of the fleet. The need is for someone very competent in maintenance of truck running gear: brakes, suspension, lubes etc. This role will suit someone who enjoys fixing something that has broken already 10 times before – and will need to be fixed 11th time.
Pay will fully meet the Auckland Mechanical Fitter's wage market rate but you'll be able to save a lot more of it than you can living in Auckland because your commute to work will be tiny and your housing cost probably a quarter to a third less.
