Overview Working within the Data Management and Support Team (working within the function aligned to the Corporate Markets business) this role will provide analysis and development expertise for all data related matters Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities Working with the Development Team Lead and Systems Delivery Manager to provide Analysis, Design, Build and Test code for the maintenance of business objectives as needed across the various Corporate Markets systems – especially, but not limited, all related and integrated aspects of Prism. IN the main this will relate the movement, access, structure and integrity of data and supporting code across systems. Resolution of issues, incidents and problems within the systems due to requirements interpretation, data, code, design or data issues (content/structure/integrity). Ensuring analysis is defined cleanly, distinctly and measurable and is correctly entered into the VerisonOne delivery tools for either implementation by any of the capable members od the team – or potentially beyond if documented to enough detail. Understanding, documenting and supporting the existing code modules, where created or amended, so they can continue to provide integral systems service to the business and can be integrated/supported by DSF components; Working, and communicating closely, with other Developers to ensure consistency of approach, methods and to maximise opportunity for reuse or to share ideas and problems/resolutions. Participate in daily Stand Ups and Retrospectives to continually improve upon code deliveries. Working with the UK DSF Architects to learn the framework and to determine what integration opportunities exist and bringing those opportunities to an implemented reality. Work with ALM/SDLC Architect to ensure that code is properly managed and stored correctly with code repository tools and tagged correctly. Ensuring code (including PL/SQL, T-SQL, DDL and DML) is of good quality without significant rework required and without introducing performance or security issues into live services. Software, Analysis artefacts and processes are correctly documented to ensure single points of knowledge do not become a problem and skills are distributed across the team and department; Ensuring that software Deliverables/Artefacts, as part of any Stand Ups, Change/Project, are progressed providing appropriate status reporting and updates as requested by the Line/Project/Change Manager; Experience & Personal Attributes Experience of the full software development lifecycle and working with legacy systems/platforms. Be flexible to change and be able to adapt to changing priorities. Analysis Skills and experience – documentation, mapping and/or use case development where appropriate; PL/SQL/T-SQL/DDL/DML/ETL skills; Have good communication skills, both written and verbal. Working with tooling such as, but not limited to, VersionOne (use case definitions and management) and TOAD for controlling of work allocation and progress and exploring data. Experience of writing unit tests and mocking. Source control (Git) Advantageous: TOAD or similar, .NET / C#, ISAM skills, Scripting expertise (PowerShell, Bash, CShell etc), CI/CD skills
