NZ Transport Agency Technology is a team of experts responsible for. delivering technology the business uses every day to do their work as well as the technology that underpins the transport network.
The team is transitioning to a modern, responsive, client-centred technology team. The transition to product led, virtual teams co-designing with internal clients transforms the way Technology works with the business. An Agile and DevOps approach also ensures there is a seamless transition from product design to implementation to ongoing support and maintenance.
We are looking for people who want to help drive this change and are comfortable stepping up to influence the design and development of a new way of working.
The role
As one of our Developers you will implement design to meet product needs according to specifications and business requirements. Collaborating with the business, product managers and product analysts, you will ensure development work aligns with good practice, security and supportability requirements and is embedded into the product lifecycle.
We are looking for an excellent collaborator with an understanding of user-centred design processes and the desired customer experience.
What you will bring
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
The ability to translate business and customer needs into technology solutions
Proven relationship management experience in a complex business and technology environment
Significant experience in building technical understanding of business problems
Solid experience working with users and customers to deliver successful products
Strong knowledge and experience in the use of multiple modern technology methodologies and frameworks, for example engineering, architecture
Good knowledge and experience in design thinking and co-design methodologies
Tertiary level qualification in relevant subject or equivalent experience
