Desktop Engineer

Deployment Engineer Contract duration: 12 Months £18.70 per hour

A major Public Sector client based at several sites in West Yorkshire is currently looking for a Breakfix/Desktop Deployment Engineer to join their team for an initial 12 Month contract. You will be required to install, support and maintain networked devices and services in order to ensure provision to SLA and performance standards.

You will be required to:

• Management of all networked terminals and associated peripherals as required and lead/participate in problem solving teams as needed.

• Maintain and support a large software application base in support of operational requirements.

• Manage the deployment and roll out and upgraded of Windows 10.

• Fixing/replacing hardware

• Attend user group meeting as and when required, to provide advice on the computer environment and report progress of requests for change, incidents and requests.

• Provide Subject Matters Expert (SME) advice as required.

Essential skills:

• Windows 10 experience

• Knowledge/ability of supporting the latest Microsoft operating system within an enterprise network environment.

• Experience of IT 2nd line support ideally relating to computing environment.

• Experience of delivering support on a wide range of applications.

• Holds a full current UK / European driving licence.

• Has access to a motor vehicle and is prepared to use it for business purposes.

• Willingness and ability to participate in a call-out rota and on occasions be required to work outside normal hours of 37 hpw (Monday to Friday).
