Auckland City, AucklandJob DescriptionWe are looking for someone experienced in apparel design with graphic design experience. This is a parental leave contract starting asap until end August 2020.We work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines so we’ll need someone with good resilience and the ability to manage pressure. You will be someone who enjoys a varied role with a great eye, passion for trends and product design, more importantly you’ll have the ability to translate these ideas into products our will customers love.You will be:Creating commercial collections, focusing on key shapes, garment construction, fabric and printWorking alongside Buyers & collaborating with our Asia based sourcing offices.Researching and applying market & trend information through design analytics.Trend forecasting key items, details and fabrics.Designing from Concept to Sign-off, interpreting briefs & creating presentations and artwork.QualificationsA tertiary qualification in designMinimum of four years’ experience in design and product development processes, including taking product from concept through execution and partnering with overseas manufacturersDemonstrated creative ability including colour, pattern, form language, visual merchandisingCommercial sense and market knowledge gained through working within a retail environmentProficiency in Adobe Creative SuiteProven ability to research and apply market/trend informationAdditional InformationOur Store Support Office has a beautiful North Shore location with views across the Waitemata Harbour, Tuff Crater reserve next door for lunchtime walks, an on-site café, and free charging stations for EV’s.
