Te kowhiringa | The Opportunity Working within the Tararua Alliance, a partnership between Tararua District Council and Downer, the Performance Manager will proactively measure, drive and report on the success of the strategic objectives within the Tararua Alliance. We have an excellent opportunity for a Design & Engineering Technician to join our Tararua Alliance team. The Design & Engineering Technician works within the Capital Projects team to support the planning, design and delivery of delegated Civil Infrastructure projects. You will also be responsible for: Develop accurate schedule of quantities for use in civil infrastructure projects. Conducting site inspections and auditing during the construction phase to ensure works are complete to relevant specifications and meet consent conditions. Liaise with relevant stakeholders, subcontractors and consultants during the development and delivery of works. Support a culture that supports and maintains zero harm, environmental and sustainability practice and management. Diploma in Civil Engineering preferred, or other relevant Civil Engineering related qualifications. Understand of AUSTRoads design standards. Good communication skills with the ability to liaise between operational, technical and management staff Experience in Road Design software.
