Deputy Director, Strategy & Research Excellence (SRE), Research Office Deputy Director, Strategy & Research Excellence (SRE), Research Office The Strategy & Research Excellence (SRE) is one of the 3 departments under the A*STAR Research Office (RO). This department champions long term (5 years and beyond) research strategies for A*STAR and works closely with A*STAR's 2 research councils (Biomedical Research and Science & Engineering Research) to drive the agency's research excellence and international scientific competitiveness. This department also supports the Deputy Chief Executive for Research on strategic talent attraction for A*STAR in key areas of research priorities. The SRE works closely with the other 2 RO departments, namely Planning, Research & Ops Management (PROM) and Research Integrity Compliance & Ethics (RICE) to fulfill the mandate of the Research Office.The Research Office is recruiting a Deputy Director to join its Strategy and Research Excellence department.Job Description:Assist the Department Director to lead a team to undertake technical and scientific foresighting in developing A*STAR's long-term research and scientific roadmap, including a portfolio on Moonshots;Engage relevant stakeholders internally and externally, including the National Research Foundation and the RIE ecosystem, aimed at championing national level allocation of resources to support long term research priorities for Singapore;Assist the Department Director in leading a team to support A*STAR's Deputy Chief Executive for Research in attracting top strategic talent for A*STAR research entities;Assist the Department Director in leading a team to undertake scientific bibliometric and talent analysis; andWorking closely with councils to drive research excellence and international competitiveness including periodic scientific reviews and senior talent benchmarking for promotion.Job Requirements:PhD in a relevant STEM disciplineAt least 5 years of relevant work experienceStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to engage internal and external stakeholdersHave relevant experience in scientific foresighting and strategic planningPossess good understanding of metrics for measuring scientific excellenceStrong track record of leading teams towards outcomes and impactCompany information Registration No.T08GB0002CReport this job advert Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.Researching careers?
