About the Role
Work alongside the Charge Nurse in overseeing the management of nursing staff and delivery of services. Working both hands on and as the go to person when the Charge Nurse is off duty, this is a busy and varied role.
Duties
* Work clinically hands on
* Support the Charge Nurse
* Lead and manage the team of nurses at times
* Support and train nurses in their practice
* Oversee clinical governance and standard operating procedures
Skills & Experience
* NZ registered Nurse with a current APC
* Experience working in primary care or urgent care setting is ideal
* Some leadership experience is essential
* Immunisation and smear certification is preferable
* Strong verbal communication skills and patient focussed care
* Proven ability to work well under pressure with great time management skills
