Depot Supervisor

Our client is a renowned, distinguished leader & largest supplier of construction material & aggregates worldwide. Their business was established over 100 years ago and they currently employ 100,000+ staff globally.

DKW Recruitment Group is urgently looking for a sole charge ‘Depot Supervisor’ to start immediately in ONEHUNGA on 12 hour shifts!

Requirements
Your Main Responsibilities Will Be As Follows:

Unload Shipments In A Timely Manner & In Strict Accordance With Relevant Standard Operating Procedures
Supervise Unloadings, Operate The Ship Unloader (If Required), Act As The Standby Observer For Ship Unloadings Or Provide First Level Maintenance Support
Complete Routine Pre-Start Inspections Of Site Equipment As Per The Relevant Standard Operating Procedures / JHA’s
Complete Log Books, Run Sheets & Various Reports
Liaise With Stevordore To Ensure Correct Equipment & Manpower Are Provided To Minimise Ship Turnarounds
Undertake Truck & Rail Loadings In Accordance With Standard Operating Procedures
Undertake Minor Repairs & Maintenance Tasks On Site Equipment
Liaise & Assist With Maintenance Contractors In Site Equipment Repairs
Operate A Forklift To Load & Unload Vessels
Waterblast & Hose Down Equipment
Stock Management
Use Of Microsoft Office Products & SAP
Some Heavy Manual Lifting As Directed
Oversee Contractors & Temps
Drive Work Ute On Site
Successful candidates must hold a full clean NZ class 1 licence and ideally, but not necessarily, have a forklift F endorsement with a current OSH certification.

Our client is looking for physically fit, self-managing, flexible candidates with excellent written & oral communication skills.

For this position you must be flexible in your hours, generally starting between 6:00am & 7:00am until finish, Monday to Friday with weekends / nights as required (average of 40-hour weeks).
