One team that wants to innovate with a purpose.What Your Role And Typical Day Might Look Like.As the Senior Business Manager, you'll be challenged to take on major planning responsibilities in our team, working to pull together media plans that complement the media strategy and ultimately the client brief.
As the title suggests they are also responsible for managing their team and are a key player in managing the relationship with the client.
The stretch for a Senior Business Manager from a Business Manager is the ability to manage smaller clients (or smaller divisions within large clients) with limited supervision taking on some of the more senior responsibilities on these clients.Responsibilities Could Include.Maintaining a strong understanding of the industries in client portfolio and New Zealand media marketplace staying up to date with new innovations and technologiesOversee the buying and implementation of all media (incl.
Digital planning)Develop and maintain media schedules across client portfolio, and work with the trading team to oversee the buying of planned TV.
Executives and Coordinators in the team to buy planned TV (TV is bought by a separate team)Ensure quality control across all documents being sent to the client including but not limited to final buys, post analysis, competitive, media evaluations and schedulesPrepare and present planning documents in line with strategies developed by strategy teamTo be the central point of coordination for a planning response document managing across the agency (sponsorship, digital, innovation, search etc…) to create a single response to client briefsBrief media partners and evaluate their proposals in line with the Convergence Planning process and provide recommendations to clients driving home the creativity, innovation and effectiveness of an ideaTo effectively manage team to ensure progression through the agency, areas of management include recruitment, performance reviews and trainingA Bit About You.At least 4 years' experience working within a Media Agency or similar environmentUnderstanding of media planning, buying and strategy, ideally within New ZealandExperience with media platforms such as Pegasus, TVMap, Roy Morgan and NielsenStrong communication and stakeholder relationship management skills with the ability to present ideas and solutions to clients and internal stakeholders.Effective organisation skills and time managementProven ability to manage a small team of people and work collaborativelyExcellent negotiation and client service skillsBecome a champion for meaningful progress.At dentsu Aotearoa, our diverse and inclusive culture enables our employees to bring their whole selves to work and be proud of doing so.
