We are currently seeking a reliable and versatile dental assistant to join our team in an all-rounder role.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in contributing to both clinical and administrative areas of the practice.In this role, you will be responsible for a combination of chairside assisting, sterilisation, and front desk duties depending on the needs of the practice.
Clinical responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, assisting the dentist during procedures, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit.
You will also manage sterilisation of instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols, restock treatment areas, and maintain cleanliness in line with safety standards.On the administrative side, you will greet and assist patients, schedule and confirm appointments, manage payments, update patient records, and support daily reception tasks using dental practice management software.
Your ability to multitask, communicate clearly, and work as part of a team will be essential to success in this role.We are looking for someone with at least one year of experience in a dental setting, and a solid understanding of infection control.
Familiarity with dental software such as EXACT is an advantage.

Hours are negotiable, but ideally you will be able to work at least 4 days a week from 8-5pm on weekdays.
Flexibility in hours is an advantage.QualificationsThis is a role for an all-rounder, so there is a variety of roles that will be taken on depending on the day to day needs of the practice.
Key ResponsibilitiesSterilization & Infection ControlClean, disinfect, and sterilise instruments and equipment according to infection control protocolsMaintain and monitor sterilisation logs and ensure compliance with health and safety regulationsRestock supplies in surgeries and sterilisation areas, assist in monthly ordering for the practiceChairside AssistingPrepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment roomsAssist the dentist during a variety of treatment proceduresEnsure patient comfort before, during, and after proceduresMaintain accurate and timely clinical recordsAdministration & Front Desk SupportGreet and assist patients in person and over the phoneSchedule and confirm appointmentsProcess payments and handle patient accountsMaintain patient records and ensure data accuracySupport daily administrative tasks and assist with recall systemsQualifications and SkillsPrevious experience in a dental clinic (1+ years ideal)Strong understanding of infection control protocolsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsConfident using dental practice management software (preferably EXACT)Well-organised with strong multitasking abilitiesReliable, proactive, and a team player who is willing to go above and beyondAdditional InformationA large company that offers internal mobility Long service benefitsDiscounted Southern Cross health insurance.
