As a unique Kiwi and Pacific insurance provider with over 150 years of history, our roots trace back to Dunedin.What you will be doingThe Delivery Ways of Working Lead is a pivotal role at Tower, responsible for leading the transition to our new delivery ways of working.Reporting to the Head of Process Excellence & Transformation, this role oversees the definition, application, and continuous improvement of frameworks, methodologies, and tools that support successful delivery across the organisation.
The Delivery Ways of Working Lead will collaborate with various teams to ensure that delivery practices are efficient, effective, applied consistently, and aligned with Tower's strategic goals.Dive into the Heart of Your Responsibilities:Own and embed the Tower Delivery Ways of Working Playbook/Methodology, ensuring it articulates how different work classifications and methodologies should be applied across Tower's portfolio of work.Ensure consistency and adherence to the Delivery Ways of Working playbook across all squads and project/programme teams.Provide leadership and guidance to senior leaders, enhancing consistency and adherence to best practice delivery across teams.Champion a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance delivery processes and increase efficiency across delivery teams.Lead, manage, and develop the Delivery Ways of Working team members, including the project management and scrum master practices.Collaborate with external stakeholders and partners, including third-party consultancy and or delivery partners to ensure consistent delivery ways of working are always followed.Utilise data-driven decision-making, using data to drive delivery decisions and influence and guide other senior stakeholders.What You'll NeedTo be successful in this role, you will also demonstrate the following:7+ years of experience in project or programme delivery and agile coaching/agile delivery, or similar role, preferably within the financial services industry.Deep knowledge of delivery frameworks, covering agile, waterfall, and hybrid methodologies and tools, with relevant certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster).
Ideally candidates will have no to limited bias towards project vs full agile delivery as this role will need to utilise both.Proven experience implementing portfolio management frameworks, portfolio/project management tooling (e.g., Jira), and methodologies (e.g., Agile) in large organisations.Proven ability to lead and improve the ways of working of cross-functional delivery teams.Leadership capabilities, with a history of leading high-performing teams, developing talent, and influencing stakeholders at all levels.Our CommitmentWe pride ourselves on encouraging everyone to bring their whole selves to work, embracing diverse opinions, experiences, and backgrounds.
