Customer Service Focused Delivery Driver Full TimeGilmours Central is a 100% Kiwi owned and operated wholesale-food and beverage supplier.
We take pride in supporting our customers across the Manawatu and Taranaki regions.We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused person to join our busy team in New Plymouth.
You will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive their deliveries in full, on time, and to the expected standards.
Since you will be actively involved in interacting with our customers, it is of great importance that you possess excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.Career opportunity: Business will help the right candidate with necessary licenses to grow in the industry.This is a full-time position with 45-50 hours per week.Driving duties: As part of the role, you will be required to stage your freight in an organized manner and load your truck in the order of your run with the desire to achieve maximum efficiency.
Freight is hand-unloaded and trolleyed into our clients' businesses, so a reasonable standard of fitness is required.To be a successful candidate you should have the following:Hold a clean Class 1 or 2 licence.
Able to drive a manual vehicle.Meticulous attention to detail to manage tasks within assigned processes and organize workload to achieve desired results.Good area knowledge of the Taranaki region.Willingness to learn and strive for continuous improvement and attain additional driving licences.Be safe and take all reasonable precautions to maintain a safe working environment.Hardworking, honest, and reliable.Fit for work, keeping in mind that most of the freight is hand unloaded into customers' businesses.Computer/Smartphone literate.Have reliable transport for commuting to work.The vacant position is based in New Plymouth.Please apply through the application link below.Apply now for this role or get more information by contacting Pomana Marsh.
