The Opportunity
This is an exciting new opportunity for a dynamic leader to join our Distribution Centre teams in Taranaki as a Distribution Centre Team Leader and to make this role a platform for future leadership roles!
Reporting to the Distribution Centre Operations Manager, you will be responsible for driving the medium term performance and compliance management of the business unit. Responsibilities of the role include communicating clear accountabilities and expectations to a team of 30 or more, and exceeding KPI’s, implementing all training programs, assisting in the on-boarding and recruitment of staff, and ensuring the continuous improvement of your team.
You will also take responsibility for your storage facility ensuring all company FSQ and regulatory requirements are met.
What You’ll Bring
With excellent time management and communication skills, you enjoy problem solving, and have a drive for continuous improvement. You will also come with a strong understanding and operational experience in a complex Supply Chain, Operational Leadership, Warehousing or Logistics environment.
Other skills and experience we are looking for:Diploma in Business, Management, Logistics/Supply chain or similar is advantageous
Established and proven leadership capabilities within larger teams.
A high level of computer skills with experience using WMS or SAP
Inventory and Cost management experience
Dedication to fostering a strong culture of Health and Safety for our people and product
Coaching skills and experience getting the best out of your teams.
Shift patterns could be either 4 days on four days off, or Monday to Friday based.
