Data & Integration Architect

Te Reo Tataki, TVNZ is undergoing transitioning from a broadcast centric organisation to become a digital-first, public media streamer.

Data is the heart of everything we do and this role will ensure the data architecture is consistent across all the systems.
The role will also work on the CMSIP programme that is currently in full flight and deliver integration architecture support.
This role needs both skills as the aim is to have data flow through and from production and business chains.
Life cycle is end to end.
This person will have responsibility for ensuring the data flows and models are there so the systems can talk to each other seamlessly.
We have a mix of legacy and new systems implementation so this role will be instrumental in delivery.This role has a strong focus on Data Architecture roadmap, producing reference architecture to align with TVNZ's Data Strategy and data architecture design (Functional and Non-Functional with strong business focus) and documentation.Proven experience as the primary Data & Integration Architect, with a strong track record of designing and delivering information architecture and integration solutions that connect systems and data flows across the enterprise.Strong expertise in enterprise data modelling, metadata management, data governance, and data quality management.Extensive experience in integration patterns, API architectures, event-driven designs (including pub/sub), and interoperability standards.Expertise in real-time stream integration methods, including event streaming, message queues, and technologies such as Kafka or similar platforms for low-latency, high-throughput data processing.Expertise in data transformation, ETL/ELT processes, and workflow orchestration.Deep proficiency with Azure services, including Data Lake, Databricks platform, Function Apps, API Management Service, Logic Apps, Data Factory.Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) and PaaS & serverless resources.Proficient with modern data and integration technologies (e.g., Snowflake).Skilled in creating clear architectural documentation, data architecture roadmaps, and system views.If you would like to find out more about this amazing opportunity, please feel free to call our Talent Advisor, Clare O'Sullivan on 021 425 273 or apply through our portal to be considered.If this is the first time applying for a role at TVNZ, you'll be asked to register and upload your C.V.
