Job Req: 28283About the role:We are seeking two junior/intermediate level Database Developers (DBA), to be part of a new team responsible for all aspects of database development relating to Police systems that provide mission critical functionality to the Police front-line.These systems all use DB2 databases as their data repository. You will have high levels of motivation and be passionate about the importance of good data management and its role in providing software solutions that support the front-line.Key aspects of the role will be to:Translate business requirements to the physical database design
Design and develop the objects required for the physical database design (tables, columns, indexes, relationships etc.)
Design and develop database routines (triggers, functions and procedures) to support the application requirements
Implement security policies across all database objects
Communicate with developers, analysts and testers to ensure the database design supports the user interface and business rules
Manage multiple development/test environments and migration of database versions from one environment to another

Desire to learn new technical skills and develop high expertise and knowledge in the use of the database software used by NZ Police (DB2)
