Starship Child Health, Auckland New Zealand

Data/Application Support Analyst (IT Professional / Business Data Analyst)
Starship Child Health (a directorate of Auckland DHB) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT professional who has a passion for database analysis, design and development, along with proven service improvement skills, to join our forward thinking team.

The position requires you to have, or develop an understanding of the health sector and be passionate about exploring continuous improvement opportunities. This is a technical role to configure mainly new database registries, however much of your working day will entail engaging and collaborating with senior medical professionals - gathering database and reporting requirements, demonstrating database functions, or communicating the process to follow to complete their database development project.

We are seeking people who will thrive in an ever changing environment, aren't afraid of a challenge and are good communicators. We think you'll love the culture of openness and getting stuff done, and the accomplishment associated with managing projects from start to finish.

Innovation, a can-do attitude and a relentless drive to do things better is at the heart of who we are. If you think this is for you, we look forward to hearing from you.

As the ideal candidate for this role you will have business/data analysis skill and be experienced in database development. You will have the ability to breakdown complex information logically and analyse at all levels from the big picture to the detail. You will have a strong focus on the goal of delivering clinical outcome measurement, and a record of successful project implementation.

We welcome applications from individuals with;
Relevant tertiary level qualifications
5 years + post graduate experience
Experience in database design (preferred)
Configuration and support of software packages e.g. mid-tier ERP's
Advanced computer skills, specifically MS Office
