BNZ's Information and Cyber Security team is expanding and we're a high performing team who are focussed on protecting BNZ's information, customers and employees. About the role:
Within the Cyber Defence team, we identify and investigate cyber security threats, mitigating, preventing and containing them to reduce impact to BNZ information and systems. AsCyber Defence Analyst, you will be responsible for:
Monitoring, investigation and response for cyber security incidents
Escalating of control gaps or failures
Preparation of incident timeline reports, providing context and insights for management.
Identifying, analysing and providing feedback improvement ideas for the development and tuning of events, incidents and alerts.
Document and educate CSOC staff on current incidents and targeted threats in order to expedite knowledge transfer and provide situational awareness.
We're looking for an analytical professional who has a passion for technology and information & cyber security. You'll have excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex situations to non-technical audiences in simple language. Alongside this you'll bring:
2+ years working in an Information Security function, including an understanding of IT security concepts, attack vectors and threats
A strong eye for detail as well as proven analytical and documentation experience
A working knowledge of technologies such as SIEM, IPS, IDS, Antivirus and network monitoring products
Programming or scripting skills
Banking/financial services experience would be an advantage but is not essential
This role has an operational element and will require a shift pattern covering a minimum of one week per month starting at 0700 Mon-Fri and one weekend shift (0700-1100).
