Job Description

The Customer & Community Unit is the connection between the various units within the Council and its residents and customers. We pride ourselves on being both the voice of the customer, and the face of the organisation.
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our residents and customers - no two days are ever the same in our world.
You will be kept busy processing requests for service, enquiries, and payments. Using the knowledge gained from your training and within our Knowledge Base, you will interpret facts and deliver on individual customer requests on a case-by-case basis specific to their needs.
We offer a friendly and inviting team environment with full training and ongoing support. We are looking for someone to work in our After-Hours team supporting our councils across the Waikato. Hours for this role is 40 per week and the working pattern will be Saturday through to Wednesday (5 days per week).
This is a unique opportunity to gain knowledge and experience of a variety of council's business functions within a contact center environment.

* have an intermediate level of Microsoft Office skills and other business systems
* have excellent communication skills through all channels – Phone and Digital streams
* have an elevated level of flexibility and adaptability to manage multiple diverse tasks
* are an active listener with the ability to remain calm in any situation

The role starts at $28.30 per hour but could be negotiated depending on experience and qualifications.
