My client is a leading national supplier and world class provider of geosynthetic, civil and infrastructure materials to the construction industry. With 35 years' experience in the industrial textiles manufacturing and distribution industry, my client prides themselves on fostering strong and lasting relationships with their customers across the entire lifecycle of their projects, providing proven, cost-effective solutions to Environmental, Civil and Hydraulic engineering challenges.
The Role
This is a great opportunity for someone who excels in a customer service role. Here you will be a part of a small, dynamic, high performing team, where your key focus will be on assisting (primarily commercial) customers with enquiries and orders, in a prompt and friendly manner.
You will need great attention to detail and accuracy, to process customer orders which come in via phone and email, whilst ensuring customers receive a first-rate experience. Customers are often calling from worksites and are time poor, so being able to elicit all information needed to process the order during that one call is vital. The ability to build great relationships is key; you will have a natural warmth when you communicate, a helpful attitude, be a confident communicator and respond calmly under pressure.
This includes the following responsibilities:
Providing excellent support and assistance to customers via phone, email and website enquiries
Processing sales orders
Updating customers on the progress of their requests
Managing freight enquires
Delivering customer excellence
What we are looking for:
Previous customer service experience where you have assisted customers via phone and email
Experience processing and directing a large volume of daily inbound calls
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, someone who thrives on providing customers with a first-rate experience
Proficient Microsoft Suite computer skills
High attention to detail and a methodical approach to working
A team player
