Customer Service Officer

Are you a Customer Service superstar? Do you enjoy helping people? The Manawatu District Council is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to help the Customer Services team provide a high quality, friendly service to all our customers. You will enjoy interacting with customers over the phone or at reception and have strong computer skills with a high attention to detail. This role offers a variety of tasks, and we are looking for someone who can multi-task, remain calm in difficult situations and who is a great team player. To be successful in this role you must have: A commitment to providing great customer service Excellent listening and communication skills Competent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to quickly switch your focus depending on the customers needs Ability to work collaboratively A desire to help others and contribute to the success of a larger team Competent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel An understanding/interest in Council and the services we provide to our community The salary range for this role is $54k - $73k (mid-point $64k) plus a range of benefits including flexibility, a family-friendly environment and support for fitness/wellness.
