This follows change implementation designed to bring us closer to our customers and have us take on more responsibility for property and land management. It is an exciting time to join us in supporting the responsible management and enhancing the use of Crown Land for existing and future generations. As part of our collaborative team in Crown Property, you'll ensure that portfolios meet legislative and maintenance requirements. We also work extensively with Iwi on treaty settlement properties. Both positions are being offered in our Christchurch office, and we can offer mutually acceptable flexible working arrangements. The team for Land and Waterways: You will be part of the team responsible for overseeing reactive maintenance and handling the processing, triaging, and completion of applications for public use of Crown Land. The Land and Waterways team oversees lease renewals, easements, and the management of these leases through onsite inspections and consistent communication with leaseholders. Our team manages Crown land purchases, including Treaty acquisitions, fostering a crucial link between Crown Property and our valued customers. In this dynamic environment, we are in search of candidates with prior experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric setting, where making statutory decisions is part of your daily routine. You should possess a comprehensive understanding of system workflows and the significance of business processes. Additionally, proficiency in contract and project management is essential, along with the ability to thrive in a high-paced operational setting that demands prompt and consistent decision-making. He pukenga tou - Skills & Experience About you: * A strong understanding of government legislation encompassing national policy statements and local authority regulations. * An understanding of laws and regulations pertaining to land obligations, including the Resource Management Act 1991, Biosecurity Act 1993, Forests Act 1949, and relevant national policy statements, would be advantageous. * Proficiency in stakeholder engagement and relationship building, * Excellent communication, and able to apply a flexible approach to your work, * Exceptional communication skills, coupled with the ability to adapt flexibly to varying work scenarios. * Hands-on experience in the operational aspects of land management within a scheduled and planned maintenance environment * Experience in contract administration or project management. * An excellent problem solver with the capacity to apply logical reasoning to multiple situations and make decisive decisions. * A New Zealand Driver's License. You may also bring: * Proven experience in customer service management. * Experience with working collaboratively with Iwi Partners.
