Newcastle College is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and qualified professional to take on the role of Curriculum Leader in Business (Further Education).
The successful candidate will support the Head of Curriculum for Business and will be responsible for leading and managing the further education department.
The role also includes administrative responsibilities to ensure effective department management.
A key focus will be to drive Further Education recruitment in line with Newcastle College KPIs whilst ensuring the programme teams are supported to achieve their goals.
Candidate Profile
Strong background within Further Education and a solid business background.
Experience delivering business qualifications at levels 1-3.
Proven leadership and management experience.
Minimum Level 6 qualification in Business or an industry-recognised equivalent.
Post-16 teaching qualification or a commitment to attain one within an agreed timeframe.
Level 2 English and maths qualifications are essential, or willingness to attain them.
Proven track record of leading teams to achieve KPIs, with a focus on high-quality education provision.
Experience in programme leadership within Further Education.
Ability to design and implement teaching strategies supporting diverse student needs.
Strong organisational skills, self-management, and excellent communication skills.
Proficiency in IT, including virtual learning environments.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
