We are searching the Heretaunga district for a new team member to join us as theKaitohu Ahurea (Maori Cultural Advisor). This role is essential to ensuring the mahi we do is performed in a culturally competent way and with a kaupapa that our community can identify with. Are you ready to join one of the most well-known charities in the Hawke's Bay and work in partnership with the community to ensure inequity is reduced and that specialist palliative care is understood and accessed by those that need it?
The role will be based in Hastings, but will have a regional focus and will provide advice and direction in the following areas;

Tikanga Maori
leadership in work that connects our Maori communities and local marae education delivery
chair the Cranford Hospice Trust Maori Advisory Group

The role holder will;
be fluent in Te Reo and provide bicultural education on Maori values and beliefs.
be part of the leadership team and work closely with our current Kaitakawaenga role.
have established links and connections with our local Maori communities and the HBDHB
ideally be experienced in teaching, social services or a health background.
have the ability to work as a member within the multidisciplinary team.
