Safeguarding Children Initiative is a registered charity based in Stoke, Nelson.
We aim to reduce child abuse in Aotearoa by ensuring that the people who are in key positions to help a child or young person have the essential knowledge, skills, systems, competencies, and confidence to do so.
Children and young people rely on those who are around them, care for and work with them to recognise they are in need or at risk and to know how to help.
We do this by:
• providing face-to-face workshops and seminars
• online courses that can be accessed at any time and anywhere
• embracing Information Technology to open up our training to the whole of Aotearoa
• working in partnership with like-minded organisations and individuals
• helping organisations develop robust workable systems such as child protection policies and procedures
• supporting people who are working to protect children and young people who are vulnerable or at risk
This is a permanent part time position for 20-25 hours per week.
Safeguarding Children is growing and would like to add a new member to the team! As the first point of contact for our clients, this position requires an individual with exceptional customer service skills. The role also involves coordinating all aspects of course administration for our online and face to face courses.
The successful applicant must have:
• A minimum 3 years administration experience
• Some previous experience with accounts
• Can take initiative
• Professional and friendly manner
• Attention to detail
• Excellent planner and organiser
• Problem solver
• Experienced using Microsoft Office
• Quick learner
• Can embrace IT and new systems including trouble shooting
• Passionate and enthusiastic
