Courier Contractor – Wellington Parcels

About the role
Toll is looking for a dedicated and motivated Courier Contractor who enjoys a fast paced and diverse environment. Vacancy is for a sought after Wellington CBD run that is being listed to internal and external applicants.
If you're an exceptional individual that works with urgency, who has a passion for the Transport industry and will help us deliver excellent Transport service to all our customers, then you could be one of the next Toll Owner Drivers to come on board!
Duties & responsibilities
Load and unload freight safely by hand, or with forklift when required
Ensure freight is handled without damage
Scan all freight. If you touch it, scan it
Deliver and pickup on time and in full - DIFOT.
Actively participate in all safety processes and procedures
Operate your vehicle in a safe and legal manner at all times
Take pride in your vehicle by keeping it clean and tidy at all times - inside and out
Skills & Experience
Customer-focussed attitude
Competence to own and operate a business including basic accounting knowledge
Ownership, or ability to obtain a late model van
Clear communication and teamwork skills
Full NZ Class 1 drivers Licence
GST Registration
DG licence & OSH Forklift certifications are beneficial but not essential
Prior transport delivery experience in Wellington is critical
