Counselling/Psychology/Social Work Students: Campus-Based Support Group Facilitation

Did you know 1 in 6 Kiwi males experience sexual abuse by the time they turn 25? MOSAIC (www.mosaic-wgtn.org.nz) is a charity that supports males who have experienced sexual abuse. We are the only male sexual abuse agency in the Greater Wellington region with a Ministry of Social Development (MSD) Social Services Accreditation to work with vulnerable child, adolescent and adult survivors of male sexual abuse.
We are starting support groups on Wellington tertiary campuses and are looking for support group facilitators. Our support groups will be open to anyone - regardless of gender - who are experiencing difficulties in their life. Through our network of social agencies, we are able to refer students who have specific difficulties to appropriate agencies, but our campus support groups will be open to all. We are looking for counselling/psychology/social work students who are keen to be involved in this programme as facilitators. MOSAIC will provide you with the training you need for the role.
