Coronial Case Manager at NZ Ministry of Justice, HamiltonTe Haeata/The OpportunityAs a Coronial Services Case Manager, you will be based in Hamilton and will work alongside the Coroner.
You will be responsible for coordinating all matters referred to the Coroner.
Occasionally, you may be called upon to assist with other matters or with other Coroners outside your region – regional travel will be required.This is a challenging and interesting role that allows you to utilize your administrative experience, people and relationship management skills to a high level, contributing to a first-class Coronial Service for New Zealanders.Key responsibilities include:Gathering inquiry information and reports, both physical and electronic, and presenting the information concisely to the Coroner.Managing large volumes of electronic files while maintaining physical files.Keeping our electronic database (CMS) up to date, complete, and accurate.Liaising with and providing information to stakeholders and government agencies, including interested parties, police, medical practitioners, and pathologists.Monitoring and reporting on the activities of the Coronial Services Unit.Arranging and supporting the Coroner in conducting preliminary hearings or inquests.You should possess strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with Coroners and handle sensitive situations involving distressed family members.
