About the RoleThe role is based within the Quality and Safety team and reports to the Interim Associate Director of Operations, Hospital and Specialist Services South Canterbury.
It involves supporting the maternity clinical quality and safety programme and focusing on quality improvements in maternity services.The person in this role is responsible for utilizing contemporary quality and risk management knowledge and practices to ensure that managers and staff have access to quality and risk management tools and techniques to assist in decision making and the integration of quality improvement and risk management into service delivery.About YouNZ Fully Qualified Registered Midwife with a current APC and extensive clinical experienceExcellent data analysis and report writing skills, and must have Microsoft skills and advanced Excel proficiencyDesirable to be working towards a postgraduate qualification in quality or risk managementWorking knowledge of Nga Paerewa Health and Disability Sector StandardsCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in projects/initiatives that give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches in healthcare settingsWorking for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of Aotearoa/New Zealand.
