Cool Store Manager

Company Description AFFCO Rangiuru is a modern processing plant located in the Bay of Plenty. Servicing an extensive array of global and New Zealand markets, AFFCO Rangiuru is part of the AFFCO NZ Ltd group which runs a nationwide operation. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our team as Cool Store and Dispatch Manager.

Job Description

Reporting to the Production Manager, this position will have accountability for managing inbound and outbound logistics, as well as managing the day to day operations of our Cool Store facility. With multiple export markets, a wide variety of product specifications and more than 25,000 tonnes of merchandise to move and store every year, this position requires someone with outstanding leadership and strategic planning skills.

It is expected that you will be a pro-active and hands-on manager, directing the dispatch and cool store team in the processes associated with the receipt and dispatch of product on a daily basis. Our ideal candidate will drive a culture of constant improvement to maximise efficiencies in Cool Store operations and dispatch and transportation while meeting all required standards including occupational health and safety, quality and food safety.

Qualifications

Preferably you will have the following skills and experience:

- A proven track record in a similar role in New Zealand
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem solving and analytical expertise
- Electronic certification (Ecert) experience
- Strong management skills
- Sound computer knowledge and experience with inventory systems
- The ability to work systematically to achieve agreed tasks and efficiency goals

Experience in warehousing of frozen and chilled product, would be extremely advantageous.
