This role will encompass meal preparation, adherence to dietary requirements and ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene.We are seeking a fulltime passionate Cook to join our newly refurbished Havelock North Village, the anticipated start date for this role is April 2025.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeFood preparation according to established menus and dietary requirements & preferencesMaintaining strict adherence to food safety standards including food storage, handling and cooking techniquesPreparing and cooking set meals to residents' satisfaction in a timely mannerBuilding and managing rapport with direct reports with full accountability for all aspects of coaching and performance developmentComplying with all food safety requirements and maintaining high levels of food hygiene at all timesQualificationsAbout You:You will be a highly motivated and skilled Cook with excellent time management skills.
To be successful you will bring:Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in a similar setting such as a retirement community or healthcare facility or restaurantSound understanding of food safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a clean kitchen environmentAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively in a team environmentFlexibility with work schedule, including weekends and holidays as requiredCertification in safe food handling is preferredAdditional InformationWhat's in it for you?To recognise the important work that you do for our residents, we offer:Quarterly draws to win one of three $3000 prezzy cardsExcellent benefits including supplier discounts, Southern Cross Health Essentials and moreBirthday leave & sick leave from Day 1Due to NZ Immigration requirements we are obliged to consider candidates that already have the right to work in NZ for this role first.
