Details of the offer

Applicants for this position with NZ citizenship or residence visa will be considered. Also hold relevant work experience or qualification to meet the position requirement.   Length of employment:            Full time and permanent posiiton. Work location:             Christchurch  Hours:                          30 hours per week      Responsibilities ·         Ensure the food is presented, portioned and garnished correctly ·         Cook ethnic Indian dishes of curry, tandoori dishes and other South Indian dishes ·         Assist with the serving sizes, portioning and quality of food preparation ·         Make gravies, sauces and marination for the curries and other dishes ·         Prepare the food as per the request of customers with dietary requirements ·         Ensuring consistent food taste are delivered to customers ·         Check freshness of food and ingredients ·         Keep the stocks ready for service ·         To preserve the food in the chiller and freeze ·         Conduct required training of Kitchen Hand and other support staff ·         Ensure that all tools and equipments are kept clean ·         Follow the maintenance and health and safety issues ·         Ensure the safety standards in the work place are maintained   The successful applicant for the position must have. ·         1 year work experience in curry/tandoori or relevant cookery qualification of level 2 ·         Able to work flexible hours and take up extra hours during summer ·         Work split shifts, weekends and public holidays ·         Good team player with good communication skills   Contact us for more details.
