Here at Gumboots and Grasshoppers the future is bright. We have a beautiful, purpose built Centre developed in a beautiful rural setting on a large 5,000sqm site. We have a beautiful new kitchen with a gorgeous rural view right in the centre of our building, so you will be at the heart of the action.
About the role:
In this role you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the on-site kitchen including cost control, menu planning, ordering supplies and serving morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for up to 80 hungry 0-5 year olds. This is a Monday to Friday position for approximately 30 hours.
About you:
To succeed in this role you will have:
· A passion for food and a friendly positive approach
· Previous experience working as a Cook or Chef
· Experience developing nutritionally balanced menus
· An understanding of allergies and special diets
· Demonstrated experience in maintaining a high standard of food and kitchen hygiene
· A food handling or food safety certificate
