About the role:
Involvement in preparation of procurement plans, tender documents, participation intender evaluations prior to awarding of contracts and then compilation of contract documents.
Act as Engineer to Contract or Engineer’s Representative to provide excellent contract management and to monitor on-site construction activities including compliance with specifications and programme and to process claims and lead or participate in performance reviews.
Producing reports for the Asset Managers (or other seniors) involved in the projects.
Attend project, contract and team meetings to discuss project issues and construction programmes.
Assist the delivery leads in the programming of all works within the team.
Field investigations and reports on a variety of issues.
Dealing with the public around compliments and complaints, plus verbal and written requests.
Daily contact with project staff and other disciplines to ensure construction is coordinated with other interacting programmes.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role your will have:
A minimum of a Civil Engineering Diploma or equivalent technical qualification in civil engineering.
At least 8 years relevant experience in the transportation industry, with a solid understanding of road construction and contract management.
A minimum of NZ Transport Agency accreditation to Engineer to Contract Level 2 and/or Engineer’s Representative Level 3, or have sufficient relevant contract experience to achieve these.
