Our engineering team in Wellington develops the mobile application server that delivers mobile services and solutions to leading telecommunications providers around the world. A key part of delivering our world class software is being able to simply and clearly communicate capability, functionality and the operability of our products and solutions.
In this environment the content developer will work closely with the engineering teams to understand and capture the core enhancements and advancements in the product or solutions, and using leading tools and technology help deliver to our customers.
Our product has a strong history of consistently delivering capability and services as on-premise network systems, as we move rapidly into the future we are looking to significantly alter the landscape of how mobile communication services are delivered through the telecommunications providers by leveraging our Azure Cloud technologies. A large tier 1 provider has already started leading the way.
We’re looking for an experienced, creative, tech-savvy writer to join us on the Microsoft Intelligent Edge Developer Experiences team. We create world-class documentation for developers who write Windows device drivers. You can see a part of our portfolio in the content listed at .
Responsibilities
For this position, we’re looking for someone with writing experience and a programming background. You’ll be the bridge between engineering teams at Microsoft and external developers. Responsibilities include writing conceptual walkthroughs, documenting APIs, and creating tutorials and code snippets. We’ll show you how we use data to understand and predict customer needs, and you’ll collaborate directly with the driver community.
Qualifications
For this position, we need someone who has the following skills/attributes.
Working knowledge of C/C++
Experience with Windows/operating systems internals
Familiarity with device drivers is preferred
Proficiency in Git
Proven ability to simplify and communicate complex information
2+ years technical writing experience
A portfolio of writing and code samples
BA/BS degree in computer science, English, journalism, or some comparable area of study
