Waitemata District Health Board (WDHB) Specialist Mental Health and Addiction Services is the largest provider of Mental Health Services in New Zealand, serving a catchment population of approximately 550,000 people in the North, West and Rodney areas of Auckland. We have a comprehensive range of Mental Health and Addiction Services and have developed culturally aware and responsive mainstream services.
Our Adult Mental Health Services comprises an integrated range of Adult Community and Inpatient Services. The North Community Team has both acute and recovery oriented services and you would be working across all areas of this Team.
We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist who is committed to providing a high standard of care and clinical leadership, has a strong consumer focus, and enjoys the challenge of providing services to a diverse community.
We have strong peer review groups and excellent collegial support with a good mix of experienced and junior Consultants. The Adult Consultant On-Call Roster is 1:20+ with full Registrar support.
