ABOUT THE ROLE This role is responsible for overseeing multiple construction projects of varying sizes and complexities. They will be looking after staff, site, and plant equipment, ensuring the work is completed safely, within budget, timeframe, and qualify conditions of the contract, either meeting or exceeding client expectations RESPONSIBILITIES Manage and oversee construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed within budget, on schedule, and to the client's satisfaction. Direct and supervise a team of supervisors and forepersons, providing guidance, support, and resources. Plan and coordinate resources, materials, and equipment for each project. Collaborate with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure successful project delivery. Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections to monitor the progress and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Prepare pricing and tender documents, as well as project schedules and budgets. Maintain strong relationships with clients, becoming the go to contractor for their projects. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status and performance. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost. ABOUT YOU The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in building and managing effective teams of site staff, preferably within the Transport/Construction sectors. They will need to have the ability to supervise capital projects in varying scope, size, and complexities, and have demonstrated experience in site budget management as well as site administration. Strong knowledge of pavement repair methodology, chip sealing, and asphalt construction are essential. Education and qualifications: Class 1 NZ Drivers Licence. Good working understanding of NZS3910-2003 and CCA. Advanced level of computer Literacy Diploma in Civil Construction or similar are preferred WHY JOIN US?
