As a construction worker, you would perform tasks in residential, commercial, and industrial construction either as an individual or as part of a team.Ideally, a good candidate would:Be experienced in using hand and power toolsHave experience in a construction environment, either residential, commercial, or industrialBe physically fit and capable of heavy dutiesPreferably be legally entitled to drive in New Zealand with reliable transportTasks you will undertake include but are not limited to:Using hand tools and power toolsCleaning the construction site, removing debris, unused materials, and hazardous materialsAssisting lead carpenters, installation technicians, and other skilled tradesmen with their work whenever necessaryAssisting skilled welders/fabricators in maintaining and operating equipment/machinery safely and efficientlyAssisting painting trades workers in applying paint and other relevant tasks in buildings and structuresAssisting with scaffold erection and dismantlingFinishing building components made from wood, concrete, steel, and/or aluminiumStacking and palletizing outputMoving equipment and materialsMeasuring, cutting, and building elements for residential, commercial, and industrial projectsMaintaining existing structures and fittingsFollowing health and safety regulationsIf you are successful:Your hourly rate will be dependent on your level of experienceYou may be offered work in one of the following regions of New Zealand: Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke's Bay, Gisborne, Wellington, Canterbury, Otago, Southland, Manawatu-Wanganui, Marlborough, Taranaki, Northland, Tasman, Nelson, and West CoastTraining will be available as appropriate to assist you in improving your skillsYou will be required to follow all advised health and safety regulations
