Construction Planner / Programmer

About the opportunity:

Our client Alexander Construction Central Ltd is seeking a Construction Planner / Programmer to join their ever-growing team located in Palmerston North. This is an excellent role to join an established and experienced construction company.

The role:

The key focus of this role will be planning and monitoring the delivery of projects using MS project, across a range of construction types. You will need to establish a strong framework for planning and completing projects. The role requires competent communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities will include:

Overseeing projects and ensuring that they are on time and on budget Liaising with suppliers and contractors to ensure smooth deliveries Networking and working toward increasing the company's professional reach

This role will suit someone with the following background / experience / qualities:

5+ years experience working in New Zealand construction Ideally from a project planning or project management background within the construction industry Building design and construction knowledge Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills An ability to work under pressure and to time constraints
