We are a mid-size construction company undertaking architectural new and residential renovation projects plus commercial fit-outs in the Wellington region. About YOU:
You will be a practically minded go-getter, with a fantastic attitude and lots of initiative. You’ll be effective in dealing with a fast-paced role that is constantly changing and thus your efficiency, time-management, and ability to think on your feet will stand you in good stead. You will need to be an excellent communicator and understand that not everyone thinks the same way, but they all need the same thing – someone who can help them out, be positive and keep things moving. You need grit and lots of it because you will get your hands dirty helping the team on site. You must have a current driver’s license and be able to drive a manual (although instruction will also be given). Having local knowledge and a basic understanding of building techniques in residential construction will be an advantage.
About the ROLE:
In this role no two days are ever the same, you’ll be out and about, involved in a variety of tasks that help support the rest of the team. This includes but is not limited to painting tasks; pick-ups, deliveries and dump runs for sites; general construction tasks; assisting carpenters; light demolition; erect and dismantle low level scaffolding; site tidying.
