Concierge | Permanent Part-Time | Christchurch

We need a new concierge for our busy office.
Although the hours are 8 am – 5 pm, 5 days a week, we’re not requiring full-time work.
We need someone with intelligence and initiative to perform concierge duties for 4-5 hours per day, with duties performed in the morning, around lunchtime, and at the day’s end. While this might sound inconvenient for you, we have a plan...
...In between times, you’ll be based at our pleasant open plan Christchurch office with high-speed internet, a comfortable standing desk workstation (with ergonomic chair), and lots of friendly, intelligent, collegial co-workers. Our work-force mainly comprises full-time technical writers, although we also have project managers and an IT team. You’ll be free to go out in your daily down-time, and there’s enough flexibility to vary hours occasionally so you can meet your academic commitments.
This position would suit a student who isn’t needing to be on-campus very often. It’s a great soft intro to the world of work, with a very friendly, hard-working, and motivated group of people.Your tasks and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Receiving and delivering courier packages Performing house-keeping duties as required by the Administration Manager (emptying dishwashers, managing kitchen rubbish and recycling, maintaining plants and coffee machines) Restocking kitchen and office supplies Running general errands for members of the Senior Leadership Team Assisting with any other project that requires your skill-set, including data entry and programming
Candidates will need to have initiative, attention to detail, and a willingness to perform housekeeping tasks cheerfully. The successful candidate will be treated as we treat every member of the team – with respect and dignity.
